PACKAGE D: 4D3N - AGRO TOURISM RM1,357/PAX - MunorAulai Farm

Day 1

  • Upon reaching Keningau town, you will be greeted and transferred to Romol EcoVillage in Sapulot by our private transport.
  • Upon arriving at Romol Guesthouse, lunch will be served.
  • Get unpacked and participate in the briefing at 3:00 p.m. by one of Borneo Outback Tours staff on the MunorAulai Integrated Farm, especially on the vision, missions and goals as well as the concept of the farm using Regenerative farming method. A walk into the farm is conducted for familiarization.
  • Dinner is served at 7:30 p.m. and followed by a traditional beading lesson given by the villagers.
  • Spend the night at the MunorAulai Guesthouse and enjoy being serenade by the surrounding nature.

Day 2

  • After breakfast at 7:30 a.m., guests will participate in one or two of the daily farm activities ranging from nursery, farm maintenance/operations and primary processing of produce. The farm is developed based on the concept of optimization of the land capacity to generate the highest net return per unit area. The two hectare model farm is part of the MunorAulai Integrated Farm. Once mature, it can be replicated by other villagers with small land holding of 1 to 2 hectare. We believe that it is the way forward to help eradicate poverty in the Nabawan District and beyond in other rural areas.
  • Lunch break at 12:30 p.m., rest and continue the farm activities at 2:30 p.m. with coffee-tea break at 4:30 p.m. at the farm followed by fishing at one of the fishponds. Fish caught will be cooked for dinner.
  • Dinner is served at 7:30 p.m. followed by weaving (optional) demonstration given by the villagers.
  • Second night at the MunorAulai Guesthouse.

Day 3

  • After breakfast at 7:30 a.m., the guests will participate in “TAPAI” making, traditional rice or tapioca wine making.
  • Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m., after which the guests learn to make ice creamusing materials from the farm including cocoa powder, and fresh fruits such asbanana, coconut, lime, jack fruits, pineapple, etc.
  • Coffee-tea break - at 4:30 p.m. and after which guests participate in cooking for dinner, especially the dishes they like.
  • Dinner at 7:30 p.m. After dinner, guests will experience the Murut cultural activities and traditional dance. There is option for traditional tattoo making for interested guests with additional charges depending on the choice of tattoo designs.
  • Third night at the Munor Aulai Guesthouse.

Day 4

  • After breakfast at 7.30 am, guests (minimum 2 pax) can depart for the day-trip activities they have chosen from the four options namely: Vangkaakon Waterfalls(RM368.00/pax), Pungiton Caves (RM414.00/pax), Batu Punggul Pinnacle(RM437.00/pax), and Boat Ride to the Kalimantan border (RM782.00/pax).
    Guests can have the options of covering: Batu Punggul Pinnacle and Vangkaakon Waterfalls or Pungiton Caves and Vangkaakon Waterfalls for the respective rates of RM725.00 per pax andRM680.00 per pax respectively.
  • If the guests do not-opt for extension for the day trip to the various activities, the departure for Keningau is at 9am to catch the 1 pm bus from Keningau to Kota Kinabalu

All meals, accommodations, activities as mentioned in the package, all 4x4 transfers between activity areas, return transfers Keningau - Sapulot, guides, coffee & tea, drinking water and community fees.

Sunscreen, insect repellent, raincoat, toiletries, cash (no ATM in this area), hat, trekking shoes, leech socks, flashlight, swimming attire, sandals or flip flop, camera, rubber shoes with cleats- locally known as “Adidas Kampung”
