PUNGITON CAVE

Well known as a sacred cave by the Villagers. It is nestled approximately 15minutes by river from Labang Village and is consisted of multiple levels. Visitors will be able to marvel at the different faunas as well as rock formations in this Legendary Cave. This would be a guided trek into the cave and the average time to complete the trek would take approximately 2 hours.

BATU PUNGGUL PINNACLE

Surrounded by untouched primary forests, trekking through the virgin jungles is a bliss. Trekking to the foot of Batu Punggul from the River Banks would take approximately 45 minutes. Upon reaching the foot of Batu Punggul, guests will have a chance to free scale up this 300 meters Limestone Outcrop! A must do for all visiting the Sapulot Area.

LONGBOAT RIDE TO KALIMANTAN BORDER

This activity is best suited for Adrenalin Seekers! Depart from Salung Jetty and Rapid Shoot through exciting rapids all the way to the Kalimantan Border on a motorized wooden long boat navigated by skillful village boatman. Visitors will be able to witness the different Murut Villages and their livelihood along the rivers both downstream and upstream.

Day 1

Take a Bus Ride from Kota Kinabalu to Keningau. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our Local Guide and continue your journey to Labang Village on a 4x4 for a river transfer to Pungiton Camp. Refreshments will be served upon arrival. Settle in and embark to discover the unexplored Pungiton Caves. Walk through a cave with an underground stream and wonder at the formation of stalactite and stalagmite. Return to the camp for a refreshing swim by the river. Enjoy dinner and watch the night sky from the eating area before falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle.

Day 2

Early wake up for breakfast. Check out of the camp and transfer to Tataluan for your excursion to Batu Punggul, the 800 feet limestone pinnacle, rising out of the jungle. For the adventurous, scramble and climb up to the top for a magnificent view of the jungle canopy below. Upon your descent, enjoy picnic lunch by the riverbank before your transfer to the waterfall. Afternoon is spent exploring the waterfall area and swimming. Sleep by a hut overlooking the waterfall.

Day 3

Spend first half of the day relaxing at the waterfall before transferring to the village for check-in, where you will sleep in a modern longhouse. The day is spent learning about their traditions and customs. The longhouse sits above a valley, overlooking the forest and surrounding areas. Evening is spent feasting on Murut food, wine and local dancing.

Day 4

Departure after breakfast, concluding your adventure in Murut Country. You will beTransferred to Keningau Bus Station via 4x4.

Early wake up for breakfast. Get transferred to the Salung Jetty for a thrilling Rapid shootingRide Downstream towards the Kalimantan Border in a wooden boat. Enjoy the breath taking views and observe the different livelihood of the different Murut Villages along the river. Stop by a Hidden Waterfall for a swim by the waterfall. A Picnic lunch will be served by river banks. Shoot back up in another heart pounding rapid shooting ride back to Salung Jetty and get transferred to a Modern Village house. The longhouse sits above a valley, overlooking the forest and surrounding areas. Evening is spent feasting on Murut food, wine and local dancing.

Day 4

Light refreshments will be served at the waterfall. Get transferred back to Romol Village house for a quick lunch and departure for Keningau Bus station via 4x4 after lunch.
